Competition Winner

Back in December last year we collaborated with 'Your Berks & Bucks Wedding' magazine to run a competition where one lucky couple would win one of our wedding photography packages.

After being inundated with entries the lucky winners, Lisa and Paul, recently got married at the beautiful Northcote House. There are great locations both inside and outside for some lovely couple shots, and even with the weather against us took full advantage of this!

The Fearless Bride

My wedding on 12th April 08 took me to the sunny beaches of Kent. The bride and groom had previously got married at the Ice Hotel in Sweden so were having a blessing at the gorgeous St Leonard's Church in Hythe.

After braving -30ยบ temperatures in Sweden, a windy day on the beach in Kent was nothing! The Bride's fearless attitude mixed with dramatic clouds and wind, meant we could get some really amazing shots!

They later had an idea to get a shot queuing for ice cream (despite the cold temperatures). We persuaded a few passers by to appear in the shot which made for a comical image!

Both the bride and groom were fantastic. They were really up for getting some great photos and the ice cream was a nice touch (despite the bride being lactose intolerant)!

A beautiful glass hallway

These are a few pictures from a recent wedding reception at Basingstoke County Hotel. We were very lucky with the weather as although it looked set to rain just as Georgina and David left the church, the sun actually came out for some lovely church picture.

It did start to rain at the reception, but fortunately at the hotel there was this gorgeous glass hallway, and they had laid down the red carpet especially! It worked really well for some lovely bride and groom and wedding party shots - even managed to get a big group shot in there!

Photographer in the making

My wedding on March 29th at Englemere, Ascot revealed a young photographer in the making. The youngest bridesmaid was reluctant to have her picture taken, so we struck a deal that if I could take her photos, I would let her take some on my camera later in the day. She was really excited about this prospect and also proved to be a quick learner. It looks like we have another new member to the team!

Here are some pictures of her and the other bridesmaids.

A great first dance!

These are some shots from a wedding I did recently at Frimley Hall Hotel. They had a nice big dance area and the DJ they hired had a big screen and a video camera which took stills of people dancing and put them up on the big screen. Although this was a bit strange for people at first, it made people laugh which gave me some great reaction shots!

Richard and Jaimie were very cute together, and one of my favourite shots from the wedding was when the were looking into each others eyes during their first dance!

Invitation to the Launch party

26th April - Artis Studios Launch Party

A very big event coming up for us is our Launch Party/Open Day. Although Artis Studios has officially been in business since April 2007, we have had an eventful 12 months and are now able to unveil the new look studio.

On 26th April we are inviting in former customers, future customers, local people and members of the public to look around the studio, meet the team, take part in one off discounts and see behind the scenes.

This is an important day for us to not only show our new work, but to also create awareness about Artis Studios and that it is under new management.

We will update you all as to how preparations are going and also have lots of photos and stories from the day.
