Coinciding with the release of the latest James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' was my own Bond Wedding, complete with fast cars, casinos and beautiful girls! Jo looked fantastic in a gorgeous sleek dress with a fantastic full veil and Stuart looked very handsome posing with his Aston Martin and friends Bentley and Ferrari.
The evening commenced with very humorous speeches, an unusual cutting of the cake and a packed evening. This included a casino, a Frank Sinatra singer and a Disco.
All the guests had a great time and we had a great time capturing it!

Here's a great example of one of our families really enjoying their shoot with us and letting go. By putting their trust in us and genuinely enjoying themselves we got some fantastic photos.
Like so many of our shoots we embrace the family pets and on this occassion had a really chilled out dog (who was nearly falling asleep).
The family brought a change of clothes which allowed us to mix up styles from fun, to stylish, to relaxed. We also did some with the daughter and her boyfriend - a great combination of fun and romantic pictures.
Here are a few of both their favourites, and our own!

Sometimes a photograph just stands out at truely amazing, and other times it can be passed by a few times before its noticed. This was the case with the image that won our latest Gold Award at the SWPP International Photography Competition.
It was shot at our Ibiza wedding back in May, and it wasn't until I was re-looking through the images to find new work to show at our wedding fairs that this image really captured my attention. I entered it for the 'Environmental Portraiture' catagory and the judges seemed to agree with me!
I have also included some of our silver award winning images that didn't quite make Gold, but came pretty close!

I had a great time last weekend shooting a wedding that spanned over 2 days. The wedding was at Pinewood Studios Heatherden Hall and had the ceremony and speeches on the Friday and a big party on the Saturday.
The couple had loads of great ideas to make the wedding unique including a rubber duck theme, bubbles instead of confetti, bowls with goldfish in as table pieces and a giant balloon launch as a finale.
There were too many fantastic photos to choose from so we picked some of our favourite shots from the balloon launch. We were really lucky that there was a strong wind that kept changing direction making the balloon launch even more exciting!

This week we had the pleasure of a visit from the A Level photography students at Hurst Lodge School. The girls came to our studio for an hour to get some inside information on how a professional studio works.
We had a great time pulling faces at the camera in the aim of making one of our unique silly faces montages, and everyone got to have a go at helping to set up the studio lights and using the camera.
Afterwards we spent a bit of time showing how we create our montages in Photoshop and everyone left with lots of useful information.
It was a pleasure working with the girls and this is something we hope to continue in the future.

We know how important your wedding day is (how many wedding suppliers start with that line!) and appreciate how stressful it can be as well.
To make our job easier and to make sure you love your photos forever, we have one simple tip.....just keep smiling and enjoy your day!
One of our recent brides didn't need any reminding of this at all. From the moment I entered her room at Tylney Hall, Hook to the moment I left she was smiling the entire day. We had amazing shot after amazing shot of both the bride and groom beaming at each other.
It's easy to get bogged down with all the planning of a wedding, so we just like to remind our couples every so often, what the day is really about!

I got to do a lovely wedding last Friday at the gorgeous Loseley Park in Surrey. Sarah and Brian had a nerve wracking build up as the weather was set to be torrential that day.
The ceremony room was a beautiful setting and provided a lovely back drop for the majority of our shots. None the less, the bride and groom had really wanted to venture round the grounds. So armed with umbrellas we went outside to find a beam of sunshine breaking through the clouds giving us a 10 minute pocket to get some beautiful shots in the gardens.
The weather didn't stop everyone having a really great time, and here are a few couple shots from both inside and outside!

Some would say that a first dance should be for the newly married couple - but Serena and James thought a little differently!
Instead of following tradition, their first dance included their three children. There was lots of singing and spinning in circles to Take That's song 'Rule the World'.
The band, Rollercoaster, who sang their version of the song were brilliant, and continued to keep people dancing right up until I had to leave! The marquee that the people at the Royal Berkshire set up was also amazing. The ceiling of stars really made a really beautiful setting, and a great background for our photos!

We really can't let go, even when its some of our best friends getting married and we are bridesmaids at their wedding! It's what we love, and so couldn't bear to watch any other wedding photographer do it, so we had to work it out. With the help of one of our best assistants we managed to have a good balance of taking photos, being in photos, and enjoying the party!
Here are some photos of us being on the other side of the camera for a change! It was brilliant doing up the dress, after watching so many other bridesmaids do it, and it was great getting our friends together for some fun group photos at Easthampstead Park.

We sometimes get worried brides who are getting ready at home and worry that their pictures are not going to look as nice as the brides who get ready in fancy hotel rooms - well this is to prove them wrong!
At our last wedding, Jo and her daughters (bride and bridesmaids) all got ready in a beautiful bedroom. The plain purple walls made great backdrops, and the mirror in the window gave me some really creative shots.
The light from the big window made all the girls look great, so our advice is always to keep the room uncluttered and have lots of natural light!
Yes, this joke was actually used by the father of the bride in the opening of his speech (I couldn't work out whether to write tears or tiers to best effect!). Unfortunately, the joke didn't go down exactly as he hoped which in itself had myself, the bride and I'm sure many others in stitches!
But it really was an emotional wedding and just to prove his point, here are some emotion filled photos from throughout the day. As well as tears, there was loads of laughter and the whole day, set at Frimley Hall, was definitely enjoyed by everyone.

We shot a civil partnership at the weekend and it was definitely one to remember!
Sam and Sarah were married at Westonbirt Arboretum in Stroud, then had their reception at Kemble Airport.
Sam, who is really in to her planes, arranged a jet fly by as they arrived at the airport. No-one was expecting it when it first flew overhead and the noise definitely got peoples attention!
We got some brilliant shots, despite the planes speed. We also did some couple shots next to the red arrow which came out stunning!
